The two most famous and commonly used techniques are screen printing and direct to garment digital printing. Screen printing is a fairly traditional technique originating from Asia while direct to garment is a fairly modern method developed in the United States.

What is Direct to Garment Printing?

When starting your own clothing line or investing in bulk or speciality t-shirts, it’s important to consider your printing options. In our modern day, there are several printing methods to choose from, each presenting its own unique characteristics and advantages.

Using modern inkjet technology, direct to garment (or DTG) printing is a textile printing method that is becoming increasingly popular due to its comparatively low-cost set up and almost instant turnaround times.  

Designed to print onto a range of material fibres such as cotton (the most common), direct to garment printing is not limited to printing solely on t-shirts and can include bags, home furnishings, pillow cases, hats, drink coolers and other great accessories.
